That morning, I stepped into our backyard to take the car out for a quick trip to the supermarket. Everything seemed quiet as usual, until I heard a faint sound coming from underneath the car — a soft, trembling cry.
Curious and worried, I knelt down and to my surprise, there was a tiny spotted fawn hiding under the car, its big eyes filled with fear. It looked so fragile, its small body trembling — perhaps it had lost its mother somewhere in the nearby forest.
My heart ached. I couldn’t just walk away.
So I gently pulled the little fawn out, wrapped it in a warm blanket, and brought it inside.
From that day on, the fawn became part of our family.
My husband and I took turns feeding it milk, giving it fresh greens, and helping it get used to our home.
Soon, it grew comfortable — playing happily with our two children, running around the garden, and chasing butterflies under the soft sunlight.
Days turned into weeks, and the little fawn grew stronger and more graceful.
Then one day, we made the difficult decision to return it to the forest, hoping it would reunite with its mother. Watching it disappear among the trees, our hearts were filled with both sadness and love.
But fate had another surprise for us.
One bright morning, as I opened the window, there it was — standing quietly in the garden, looking toward our home with gentle, familiar eyes.
Since then, it has often stayed nearby, wandering peacefully around our little house — as if to remind us that even when set free, love always finds its way back home. 🌿🦌
