“Sometimes, a single act of kindness can bring a lifetime of unexpected joy.”
On a cool afternoon with clouds casting soft shadows over the bustling city, a young woman booked a motorcycle ride to return home after a long, stressful day at the office. When the bike stopped at an intersection for a red light, she suddenly felt uneasy—right there on the road, she spotted a tiny chick all alone.
It stood directly in front of her, surrounded by a cluster of motorbikes waiting for the light to change. The little chick, barely bigger than her palm, had strangely bright pink feathers—likely dyed by some factory. Its tiny legs trembled, exhausted and lost, unsure where to run in a world full of dangers.
The scorching pavement burned its feet. It tried to escape the crowd but every direction was blocked. Desperate and frightened, it let out soft, pleading chirps as it wandered aimlessly, looking for a safe corner. The sight broke her heart.
No one seemed willing to reach out—
worse, the woman seated on the motorbike in front even lifted her foot and kicked the chick away.
Such cruelty made the tiny creature even more distressed, and the young woman couldn’t bear it.
Time felt like a thread about to snap.
The moment the light turned green, any bike could crush it.
Terrified at the thought, she immediately stepped off her ride and scooped the chick into her warm hands. It quivered violently but slowly calmed as its fragile body sank into the shelter of her fingers. How sweet and vulnerable it was.
She brought it home, wrapped it in a thick knitted scarf to keep it warm, then prepared a cardboard box as a temporary nest. She ground a little corn powder, placed a bottle cap of water inside, and set the box beside her.
The moment she placed it inside, the little one chirped excitedly and rushed to eat as if afraid someone would steal its food. Its tiny joy made her smile.
Afterward, it curled up and fell into a peaceful sleep in its new, loving home. Watching it rest so safely filled her with a mix of relief and tenderness for this fragile life.
By the next morning, it had fully recovered.
It ran happily across the house and clung to her side, following her everywhere she went. Perhaps it had already accepted her as its mother.
She spent much of her time caring for it.
Days passed, affection grew, and the little chick became smarter and livelier. The pink dye slowly faded, revealing soft white feathers beneath. Its tiny legs scampered quickly to her whenever she called. It bonded with the family dog and would hop onto her bed each morning to wake her up.
She often carried it to the garden to play and proudly showed it to friends and neighbors.
Her once dull routine was now filled with joy and color—something she never expected from a small moment of kindness at a traffic light.
She never imagined that a single compassionate act that day would bring her such happiness.
In her heart, she silently thanked God for bringing this little life into her world. 💛

That’s good 👍 I hope one day that person who kicked will get what’s coming one day
